As an Electrical Engineer at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Allington Energy from Waste plant. You’ll be responsible for project management of electrical upgrades, maintaining high voltage systems, and supporting plant availability through strong maintenance and safety practice

What will you be
doing?
- Managing electrical and engineering projects from concept through to installation, commissioning and h
andover- Taking responsibility for the site electrical distribution network, including HV supplies and swi
tchgear- Ensuring statutory electrical testing and inspections are completed in line with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and best p
ractice- Supporting the development and use of the site CMMS in line with maintenance str
ategies- Assisting with plant upgrades, planned outages and continuous improvement init
iatives- Managing and supervising contractors and supporting maintenance teams when r
equired- Deputising for the Maintenance Manager and Team Leaders when
needed- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with FCC’s SHEQ st
andards- Providing technical support to other EFW sites within the group when r
equired
What are we look
ing for?
- Proven electrical engineering experience, ideally within Energy from Waste, Power, Cement or Paper env
ironments- Strong knowledge of high voltage systems, transformers and s
witchgear- Experience of project management, ideally using Microsof
t Project- CMMS experience (Q4 d
esirable)- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance t
echniques- Experience of root cause analysis and fault-finding meth
odologies- Understanding of CDM re
gulations- Experience with PLCs, DCS and instrumentation systems (Siemens d
esirable)- A relevant engineering qualification (degree ideal, but strong experience will be co
nsidered)- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
