Faith & the Common Good (registered charity #82827 6121 RR0001, established in 2000) is an interfaith, non-sectarian, charitable network dedicated to assisting and inspiring religious congregations and spiritual groups of all backgrounds to take collective action in creating more sustainable communities.
We work with local faith-based, environmental, municipal, Indigenous, and community partners across the country to curate a wide variety of practical, educational, and spiritual programs that encourage eco-sustainability and eco-spirituality. These initiatives aim to protect and preserve the global environment and to deepen faith communities’ understanding of current social themes in Canada.
Previous initiatives include: energy efficiency initiatives within faith communities; faith sector support for clean energy and active transportation; interfaith alliances for climate action and clean water; and increased support for climate-vulnerable neighbors.
