Job Vacancy: Project Coordinator (Carbon Credit Project in Irrigated Rice)

Reporting Line

The Project Coordinator will report directly to Kazuki Sakamoto, Director of Faeger Co., Ltd.


Technical Requirements

We are looking for individuals with expertise in the following areas.


Candidates who can cover only some of these qualifications (partial expertise) are also encouraged to apply.

  • Rice Cultivation / Irrigation: Knowledge of agriculture and water management, specifically related to AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying).
  • Carbon Credits: Familiarity with climate change mitigation projects and carbon credit mechanisms.
  • Language Skills: * English: Fluent speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Bahasa Indonesia: Native or near-native proficiency.
  • Preferred: Ability to communicate in local languages (Sundanese or Javanese) for field activities.
  • Negotiation & Coordination: Proven experience with government bodies (MoA, PUPR, MoE, and Local Governments).
  • Communication: Ability to work closely with Japanese counterparts via online tools.


Contract Period & Work Location

  • Contract Period: Mid-June 2026 to the end of May 2027 (Work on most weekdays).
  • Work Location: Jakarta and the Rentang Irrigation Area (Majalengka/Indramayu), Indonesia.


Compensation & Employment Terms

  • Salary: Competitive salary based on the experience, skills, and previous salary history.
  • Allowances: Transportation expenses and Daily Allowance (Per-diem) for project-related travel will be provided.
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term Contract Employee (Professional Consultant).
  • Note on Social Security: As this is a fixed-term contract, social security and health insurance (such as BPJS) are not provided.


Terms of Reference (ToR)

The Project Coordinator will take a lead role in the following responsibilities:

  • Lead AWD Monitoring & Data Collection: Oversight of technical monitoring on the ground, ensuring accurate data collection for methane emission reduction.
  • Lead Farmer Training Programs: Design and facilitate training sessions for local farmers to ensure the proper implementation of AWD.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with MoA, PUPR, MoE, Local Governments, and University to ensure smooth project implementation and alignment with government policies.
  • Project Administration: Prepare official documentation, manage project-related payments, and organize invoices/receipts.
