Lead Niagara 4 BAS Engineer – Facility Automation Systems (FAS)

About the Role

Facility Automation Systems (FAS) is seeking a fully proficient Niagara 4 Platform Engineer to lead our growing team of BAS technicians and engineers. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll design, program, and commission Niagara-based building automation systems across a wide range of commercial facilities — from high-performance offices and healthcare centers to smart campuses and innovation hubs.

As the Lead Niagara Design Engineer, you’ll take over the ownership of all Niagara-related projects — from system architecture and controller configuration to advanced sequence design and project oversight. You’ll serve as both a technical leader and mentor, guiding our field technicians while collaborating closely with our inhouse OT and Cloud-BAS engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, programming, and commissioning of Niagara 4 control systems

• Develop and maintain high-performance control sequences aligned with ASHRAE and LEED standards

• Manage project design documentation, graphics, testing, and client turnover

• Collaborate with our Cloud-BAS development team to integrate Niagara data with SQL, APIs, and advanced analytics

• Train and mentor junior Niagara engineers and field technicians

• Ensure that all system deployments meet FAS’s high standards of reliability, cybersecurity, and performance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Niagara AX/N4 programming and integration experience

• Strong understanding of BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based controls networking

• Experience designing and commissioning commercial BAS systems (HVAC, lighting, energy)

• Familiarity with ASHRAE guidelines and control sequences

• Excellent project management and client communication skills

• Niagara 4 Certification and Tridium JACE experience required
