About The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will ensure the reliable operation of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and central inverter technology. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise critical energy infrastructure while contributing to the continuous improvement of service processes.

Key Responsibilities


Maintenance & Operations

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on battery inverters and system components
  • Support commissioning activities and occasionally assist control room operations

Partner & Contractor Management

  • Coordinate and oversee external service providers
  • Ensure quality of work and step in to resolve issues on-site when required

Troubleshooting & Escalation

  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults in the field
  • Escalate complex issues through structured internal processes

Health & Safety

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and site regulations
  • Promote a zero-incident culture across all activities

Documentation & Reporting

  • Record technical findings, incidents, and maintenance activities
  • Provide structured reporting to service coordination and asset management teams


Your Profile

  • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience with:
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Photovoltaics (PV)
  • Medium voltage systems
  • Industrial IT/network systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Self-organised, customer-focused, and solution-oriented mindset
