EXELIA develops innovative projects for research and investment activities, interregional cooperation, and vocational training. The company launches and coordinates EU-funded project proposals and carries out policy analysis and empirical research for its clients. Technical innovation and policy learning are essential parameters of our work. We coordinate and implement technical work as project leaders or partners in Interreg, Horizon Europe, Innovative investments and Erasmus+ projects.

EXELIA seeks to recruit two (2) full-time, in-house consultant researchers to join our team.


Main functions - role:

The role involves research, analysis, technical writing, and proposal development in the field of energy transition, focusing on investment analyses, feasibility studies, policy reports, and strategic action plans. The vacancy is primary a consulting function: tasks involve drafting technical studies, investment analyses, policy reports, feasibility assessments, and strategic action plans in the field of energy transition.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Draft technical and policy reports that explain complex energy concepts, models, and investment assessments in clear, structured, and precise language.
  • Survey bodies of technical literature, understand and solidly summarise the state of the art on the issues investigated.
  • Design and/or carry out evidence collection (e.g. questionnaires, case studies, statistical data).


Minimum requirements:

  • University degree and post-graduate studies in Engineering, Physics, Environmental Studies or other relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • At least 2 years of proven work experience or a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with the preparation of business plans in the domain of renewable energy.
  • Proven ability to conduct research, carry out analysis and draft reports on energy issues.
  • Prior experience in providing evidence and analysis on energy investment plans and proposals.
  • Ability to understand and synthesise large amounts of complex information under short deadlines.
