My client is a European company specialising in the design, construction, and management of biogas and cogeneration plants. Their sustainable energy solutions turn waste into clean energy, serving a wide range of applications including data centres, agriculture, and industrial operations. As part of their continued growth, they are opening a new office in the north of Houston and are looking for a Project Manager to play a key role in this exciting new chapter. This is a brand-new position, offering the chance to make a real impact from day one and contribute to the success of innovative renewable energy projects across the region. The Project Manager will oversee every phase of new projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the COO and Regional Integration Manager, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and act as the central link between operations, engineering, and suppliers. Manage the entire project cycle, from planning to commissioning, including complex logistics and coordination of equipment and units shipped from Europe. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. Identify and manage local vendors, issue RFQs, and oversee procurement processes. Monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Prepare and present weekly progress reports and project documentation. Manage change orders, schedules, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with quality standards and local regulations. Coordinate on-site installation phases, sometimes requiring presence on site for several weeks—these periods will be planned in advance. Manage general contractors and subcontractors on site to ensure project execution meets safety, quality, and timing requirements. Support the sales team and project engineers during the pre-sales phase to align technical solutions with cost and customer needs. Provide insights into local market requirements and supplier evaluations. Experience in managing international logistics or coordinating with European suppliers is highly valued, though not mandatory. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical). ~4–7 years’ experience in Project Management, ideally within the Energy or Industrial sector. ~ Experience managing subcontractors and/or general contractors on-site. ~ Strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. ~ Hands-on experience managing on-site project execution. ~ Confident in providing technical support during pre-sales discussions. ~ Proficient in MS Project and project documentation management. ~ Willingness to travel to project sites within the US and abroad as required, even to remote sites, ~ Availability for an initial 2–3 week training period in Europe.
