Client Solutions Team Manager - Fully Remote
The Client Solutions Team Manager is responsible for leading and scaling the Sales & Marketing function at Exactus. This role oversees Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Account Executives (AEs), and the Sales Administrator Team Lead to ensure the team consistently achieves revenue, pipeline, and prospecting targets. The Manager will establish performance expectations, implement efficient workflows, monitor KPIs, and build a high-performing culture across all Client Solutions functions.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on sales leader to step into a high-impact role at a growing company.
Employment Type: 14-month contract supporting maternity leave coverage (potential to extend depending on business needs)
Work Hours: Mon - Fri 9am-5:30pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and support Business Development Representatives, Account Executives, and the Sales Administration Team Lead.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance coaching, and skill development sessions.
- Set monthly and quarterly goals and monitor individual and team KPIs, including call activity, meetings booked, revenue closed, proposal turnaround times, and SLAs.
Operational Excellence & Workflow Optimization
- Identify and reduce inefficiencies across the end-to-end sales cycle.
- Support the Sales Administration Team Lead in refining proposal workflows, prospecting systems, and RFP management processes.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure clear handoffs and alignment between client expectations and operational capacity.
- Analyze proposal, sales, and pipeline data to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Sales Strategy Execution
- Direct outbound prospecting priorities and campaign execution through the BDR team.
- Ensure Account Executives follow structured discovery, follow-up, and pipeline management practices.
- Support the team in pursuing opportunities across residential, commercial, solar, storage, engineering packages, and related service areas.
- Translate company growth priorities into clear sales activities, team focus areas, and execution plans.
Trade Show & Conference Management
- Oversee trade show and conference planning, including budgeting, logistics, team coordination, lead capture, follow-up workflows, and ROI reporting.
- Support post-event reporting and ensure leads are followed up on in a timely and organized manner.
Hiring, Training & Development
- Forecast team resource needs and support hiring.
- Own onboarding plans and support effective new-hire ramp-up.
- Develop coaching programs focused on communication, tools, product knowledge, and selling skills.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations and Leadership to ensure alignment across teams.
- Ensure proposal requirements, project scopes, and client expectations are communicated clearly and accurately.
- Represent Client Solutions in leadership conversations related to growth, resource planning, operational priorities, and strategic initiatives.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a practical, people-focused sales leader who enjoys coaching team members, building structure, and improving how work gets done. You are comfortable balancing revenue goals, team performance, client expectations, and operational details, and can move easily between strategy and execution.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing sales or customer-facing teams.
- Experience coaching team members, setting performance expectations, and managing KPIs.
- Strong understanding of pipeline management, outbound prospecting, discovery, follow-up, and proposal workflows.
- Experience improving processes, workflows, or team operating systems.
- Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
