Role Description This is a full-time on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Chennai. The Chartered Accountant will oversee financial accounting, statutory compliance, and reporting for solar projects and corporate operations. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing audits, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate ledgers. The role also involves budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis for solar installations, and supporting leadership with financial insights for investment decisions. The Chartered Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes, controls, and overall financial efficiency.
Qualifications

  • Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), with valid membership in the relevant professional body.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and statutory compliance, including taxation and corporate regulations.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial planning, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to work with financial models and dashboards.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a structured approach to documentation and review.
  • Ability to collaborate with project, operations, and leadership teams, and communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Prior experience in project finance, renewable energy, or capital-intensive industries is an advantage.
