Lead the end-to-end rollout of EV charging infrastructure across QLD! Drive site build, grid connection & contractor delivery at Evie. Hybrid role.
- Lead high-impact, end-to-end EV fast-charging site deployments across QLD
- Manage multi-site builds, contractor panels, and key grid connections with DNSPs
- Competitive compensation and a strong, collaborative culture.
About Evie Networks
At Evie Networks, we are building Australia's most reliable, fast-charging EV network to make sustainable transport accessible for everyone. As electric vehicle adoption accelerates, we are rapidly expanding our footprint across Queensland.
We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Deployment Manager to lead the end-to-end rollout of our EV charging infrastructure across Queensland—from initial site feasibility, design, and grid connections right through to construction, energisation, and operational handover.
If you thrive on multi-site infrastructure project management, love solving complex field engineering challenges, and want to build clean energy assets that power the future, this is your opportunity.
The Opportunity
As our QLD Deployment Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of project delivery across a dynamic, fast-moving portfolio. Reporting directly to the COO, you will act as the key operational leader on the ground in Queensland while collaborating with our peer Deployment Managers nationally.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- End-to-End Build Delivery: Plan and manage concurrent site builds, ensuring projects hit rollout timeframes, budgets, and high quality/safety standards.
- Contractor Panel Management: Develop, onboard, and manage high-performing panels of specialized electrical and civil contractors across regional and metro Queensland.
- DNSP & Grid Connection Leadership: Build strong relationships with Queensland DNSPs (Energex, Ergon Energy, Essential Energy) to manage connection applications, capacity studies, and timely site energisation.
- Commercial & Financial Control: Own project-level budgets, cost forecasting, variation management, and regular status/risk reporting for the executive team.
- Design & Site Solutions: Resolve site-specific constructability challenges (space, ground conditions, power limits) in partnership with our Engineering team and design consultants.
- Safety & Quality Governance: Enforce strict compliance with QLD Work Health & Safety legislation, Australian Electrical Standards (AS/NZS 3000), and Evie's quality inspection frameworks.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise effectively with property owners, local councils, retailers, and site providers to minimize operational disruption and build long-term partnerships.
What You Bring to the Team
We are seeking a pragmatic, solutions-focused project leader with strong commercial acumen and hands-on experience in Queensland's construction or electrical infrastructure landscape.
Must-Haves:
- 3-5+ years' Project Management Experience: Proven track record delivering multi-site infrastructure, civil, or commercial electrical projects on time and within budget.
- QLD Regulatory & Safety Expertise: Thorough knowledge of Queensland construction regulations, WHS legislation, and local council approval processes.
- Grid & Contractor Knowledge: Direct experience managing electrical/civil contractors and coordinating grid connections with Queensland DNSPs (Energex/Ergon).
- Commercial Ownership: Strong financial management skills with a background in budget ownership, cost reporting, and contract administration.
- Flexibility to Travel: Valid QLD Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regularly across Queensland sites, with occasional interstate travel to support national projects.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience in EV charging infrastructure (EVSE), power systems, or renewable energy.
- An electrical trade background or tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Formal Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
Why Join Evie?
- Purpose-Driven Work: Play a direct, tangible role in accelerating Australia's transition to clean transport.
- High-Growth Culture: Work alongside a collaborative, driven, and supportive team of industry specialists.
- Flexibility: Enjoy a supportive, hybrid work environment that trusts you to deliver results.
- High Ownership & Visibility: Work directly with senior leadership (COO/Head of Property) in a fast-growing, high-impact business environment.
