Position Summary:
EVgo is seeking a Senior Manager, Portfolio Delivery Program Management to own and orchestrate cross‑functional delivery of a critical portfolio of fast‑charging infrastructure projects, driving scalable and predictable execution that accelerate the expansion of EVgo’s national footprint.
This is a builder role for a no ego, senior program leader who brings elite program management capability, a strong bias for action, and the ability to intentionally shape the operating environment so teams do their best work.
This leader thrives in complexity and ambiguity, creating order, operational rhythm, and trust within a matrixed organization. They enable Site Development, Development Engineering, Grid, Construction (and other internal functions), along with external partners to operate as one team aligned on priorities, grounded in data, and relentlessly focused on shared mission success.
Sitting at the center of portfolio delivery, this role serves as both a conductor and business owner, translating leadership intent into execution, surfacing risks early, maintaining trusted forecasts, and ensuring delivery is on‑time, on‑budget, and repeatable. The Sr Manager acts as a unifying force across teams and partners, removing friction, reinforcing standards, and enabling sustained throughput at scale.

Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a disciplined operating cadence, orchestrating functions across the EVgo value-chain to meet/exceed contractual commitments and revenue goals.
- Develop partner relationships (executive and working levels) within partner’s complex organization to achieve shared strategic goals.
- Cultivate a frictionless partner experience that deepens the relationship and is defined by trust, clarity, responsiveness, and reliable delivery.
- Own clarity and alignment of priorities for the matrixed, cross-functional team, applying disciplined change control when priorities evolve.
- Own forecasting of construction start and operationally completion, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual budget plans, and predictable outcomes.
- Proactively manage, communicate, and action risks (cost, schedule, and relationships) by arbitrating tradeoffs and impacts to projects, the portfolio, and relationships.
- Provide performance analytics that enable confident decision‑making, reinforce ownership, and connect strategy to team and individual impact.
- Leverage data as a catalyst to develop and continuously improve processes, system-driven action, and the controlled environment for predictable project delivery.
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience. Barriers to entry may require committee review.
- PMP or equivalent certification a plus.
- Team‑first leader with strong executive, cross‑functional, and partner communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage comfortably with executives, technical teams, and individual contributors.
- Proven capability to build culture, mentor others, and develop teams directly and indirectly.
- Self‑directed business owner with exceptional attention to detail and comfort operating with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing large portfolios with hundreds of concurrent projects.
- Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical skills and experience building actionable dashboards.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM or project portfolio management tools.
- Working knowledge of site development, engineering, utilities, permitting, construction, and procurement processes.
- Strong financial acumen and passion for sustainability and EV technology.
