Position Summary
EVgo is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Partnerships to lead the development, negotiation, and execution of transformative partnerships across rideshare, autonomous vehicle (AV), auto OEM, fleet, and broader mobility ecosystems.
This executive will play a critical role in driving EVgo’s long-term growth strategy by identifying high-impact partnership opportunities, structuring sophisticated commercial agreements, and building executive-level relationships with some of the most influential companies in transportation and technology.
The ideal candidate combines strategic business development expertise with strong financial and deal acumen. This person should be equally comfortable leading executive negotiations, developing complex partnership structures, evaluating commercial and financial implications, and independently driving deals from strategy through execution.
This is a highly visible role requiring executive presence, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels.

Responsibilities
- Lead EVgo’s strategic partnership efforts across rideshare, autonomous vehicles, auto OEMs, mobility, and emerging transportation sectors
- Develop and manage a strategic partnerships roadmap and pipeline aligned to company growth priorities. Identify, evaluate, and execute high value opportunities with new and existing partners that accelerate charging network growth, utilization, and EBITDA and enhance EVgo’s competitive positioning
- Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, strategic alliances, joint go-to-market initiatives, and long-term partnership frameworks
- Work cross-functionally with Real Estate, Software, Operations, Legal, Finance and Executive Leadership teams to ensure partnerships are executable, scalable, and commercially sound. Track AV, rideshare, auto OEM and EV charging industry trends, competitive dynamics to continuously refine partnership strategy and uncover emerging growth opportunities. Serve as a senior executive representative with key external partners and industry leaders
- Support executive presentations, board-level materials, and strategic planning initiatives related to partnerships and growth opportunities
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record negotiating and executing sophisticated, high-value partnerships and commercial agreements
- Experience working with or within mobility, rideshare, autonomous vehicle, transportation technology, EV infrastructure, energy, or adjacent industries strongly preferred
- Experience operating within fast-paced, high-growth environments; willingness to be hands-on
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Deep understanding of partnership strategy, commercial structuring, and complex negotiations
- Strategic thinker who has a keen understanding of leverage and can gameplay long-term company and industry implications
- Strong financial and analytical acumen with the ability to evaluate business models, partnership economics, and long-term strategic value
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in an uncertain and dynamic environment
- Exceptional communication, relationship management, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred

- Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
