About Emission Control Systems

Emission Control Systems is placed in R&D and is one of three similar departments in the function Control Systems, which is delivering software that controls the largest marine engines of the world. The Emission Control System department consists of 12 highly motivated engineers within the electrical/mechanical field, divided into two self-driven SCRUM teams working in an environment that values collaboration and psychological safety. Our main focus is the development of existing and new technologies for the engine control system in terms of reliability, maintenance, usability and engine performance. The department is responsible for the functionality that controls the emission reduction technologies of the engines.

In cooperation with several other functions, we take part in the development of a feature from the early stage of idea and requirement specification until the final delivery and sometimes test at an engine builder. We also give input to commissioning guides and operation manuals. Our Engine Control System software is developed C++ using Git as version control.

We are a department with a high degree of psychological safety and a great diversity in terms of working styles, focus points and preferences. We truly believe that this is a key part of our track record of delivering quality on time, and it is crucial that the candidate is able to tap into this mindset. We are passionate and ambitious with a “can-do” attitude and we work in a dynamic and ever changing environment. We love what we do – and who we do it with – and we want to make a difference in the world.
