About Electronic Production Engineering

Electronic production engineering is placed in R&D and is one of 4 different departments in the function Automation platform, which is developing a high performance engine control platform consisting of a large number of different embedded controllers and I/O modules. The platform controls the largest marine engines of the world. The production engineering department consists of 7 passionate engineers within the production engineering and production test development field including IPC specialists.

The production engineering team oversees the electronic production performed at EMS factories in Asia, of those modules. We have strict production requirements based on IPC Class-3, and we perform annual audit to ensure compliance and a high quality. We are also developing plug and play test equipment and SW for the end of line testing of our various electronic products, manufactured at the EMS factories. This includes both PCBA testing and functional test/programming on module level.

In cooperation with several other R&D functions, we take part in the development of a product from the early stage of idea and requirement specification, through the prototyping and production maturing, and we also support and monitor ongoing production. Our test platform is based on Labview , Teststand and Cascon boundary scan and we use Git for version control.

About The Job

As Head of Electronic production engineering you will be part of the Automation Platform management team. You will work daily with our manufacturing partners in Asia supporting them achieving high quality and high yield in production. It also means that two days are not the same, and at times there will be productions issues demanding flexibility and urgent attention.

You will work strategically with lifecycle management to help ensure resilience in our supply chain and to ensure long term availability of spare parts. 2-4 weeks of travel every year to Asia can be expected.

Together with your department you will plan the development activities to ensure that resources are spent in the best possible manner to reach the company strategy and create value for our company. Qualifications

We imagine you have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and that you communicate with honesty and respect. You are curious, collaborative, action-oriented and bring structure to a busy working day for yourself and your teams.

Ideally, you hold a Master’s or bachelor degree in electrical engineering (or similar) and have experience leading highly skilled specialists. Experience with electronic production and automated testing is a plus. If you have a background as test developer it will also be an advantage.
