About the Team:

The Procurement Specialist will be part of the Operations Team in Libertyville. The Operations Team includes Production, Logistics, Procurement and Quality. This group is responsible for building EV charging stations for EVBOX in the United States.

Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist will search and buy goods and services needed for Production and Operations activities at EVBOX, including indirect procurement. These goods and materials must comply with the specifications and quality expected. The right candidate is comfortable negotiating prices, contacting suppliers and making sure that suppliers deliver as per the requested dates. This role updates purchasing information in SAP, collects the information needed for set up of new vendors and gathers information required for contracts and agreements. This position is a crucial point of contact between Production, Operations and suppliers.

The Procurement Specialist will run reports that will allow EVBOX to be very proactive with our suppliers.

About the role:

The Procurement Specialist is the point of contact for the suppliers. This person will make sure that our suppliers deliver the orders on time as requested.

· Run expected incoming deliveries weekly and ensure that the Purchase Orders delivery dates of the next two weeks are confirmed with the suppliers for timely deliveries.

· Compare vendor acknowledgements to purchase orders sent and enter the acknowledgements data into SAP.

· Advises on existing or potential problems and communicate them to the Procurement Manager.

· Work with Finance for resolving invoice issues and discrepancies with suppliers.

· Update prices and information on PIRs (Product Information Record).

· Coordinate with suppliers the delivery plans for shipments that will be delayed or need to be expedited.

· Run report on late deliveries. Send report to Supplier Performance Engineer.

· Vendor set up process, externally with vendor and internally with Finance and Legal.

· Place orders for Indirect Procurement and general office supplies

· Update incoming shipments by PO, date, and product in the Logistics Control Sheet

· Perform clerical duties and act as a backup/support for the Production Planner and Operations

  • Respond to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Work with Receiving and Vendors to resolve any shipping errors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Position is located in the Libertyville office.

About you

Education requirements

· High school diploma or GED

Experience requirements

· Two or more years of experience in a similar position

· Experience working with MS Office and any ERP Software (SAP is a plus)

Physical requirements

· Ability to lift 25 lbs

· Visual acuity

· Color acuity

Skills required

· High school diploma or GED

· Self-motivated with a positive attitude.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Ability to work with a team

· Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially with Excel

· Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills

· Attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established guidelines.

· Experience with SAP or any other ERP system is desirable.

Pay: $47,840.00 - $54,080.00 per year
