About the team:

As the Procurement Manager at Libertyville, you'll be part of the development of our next generation of EVBox smart chargers. You will work with the teams that design and produce our AC and DC charging products. You will assist in all aspects of local sourcing management in Libertyville working closely with our Group Sourcing & Procurement team based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In brief, you will ensure that the supply base supporting Libertyville Operations is agile, scalable and performing at a world class level to support current and future strategies for the Group

Main Responsibilities:

  • Based at Libertyville, Illinois, you will be instrumental in the execution of EVBox Group sourcing strategies relating to the US supply chain (development, performance and scaling) in line with forecast demand, working closely with the Group Sourcing & Procurement team in Amsterdam.
  • Offer support to category managers for global sourcing strategy creation
  • Supplier contract development and in the US.
  • Ensure compliance of relevant contractual agreements and supplier performance of US based suppliers (cost, risk, quality, on time delivery, etc.) is in line with Group requirements, including the creation of governance processes and reporting for corrective action in the supply chain when expectations are not fulfilled.
  • For US suppliers, ensure full compliance, in particular in regards to UL requirements and conformity.
  • Initiate on time direct purchase order creation for production raw materials where required.
  • Work with the industrialization and production teams, manage local make/ buy projects to ensure the maximum efficiency of the production and logistics processes at Libertyville.
  • As part of the local management team at Libertyville, instigate appropriate crisis management (proactive where possible) where supply has a negative impact on output and/or quality compliance objectives for plant.
  • Using our SAP (ERP) system to ensure the integrity of supplier and supplied product related master data and as a consequence the validity of supply delivery planning and performance according to the plan(s).
  • Develop strategies to manage inventory levels (Cost control, VMI, safety stocks, risk management, order points, min/max, end-of-life obsolescence, etc.).
  • Take full procurement responsibility for all NON-production procurement for capital and operational expenditure.
  • Develop, launch and execute against price cost control metrics in relation to COGS and profit margin objectives.
  • Develop and implement local procurement organization, procedures and processes in alignment with local and Group policies.
  • Develop and manage local procurement performance management processes and tools.

What Experience you'll bring to the team:

  • Five years minimum experience in a relevant Procurement and/or Supply Chain management role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business degree.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Supply contract development experience.
  • Confident, collaborative, and keen to take ownership and set best practices.
  • Comfortable working in remote teams and coordinating and benchmarking with Group sites and suppliers.
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Able to travel nationally and internationally, as required. Estimated travel 20-40% (40% during initial set-up)
  • Knowledge of SAP (preferable) or a basic understanding of ERP in operations.
