Get to know the team
As a Test Automation Engineer based in Amsterdam office you will be part of the QA team that is responsible for designing and maintaining the automated testing solutions for our EVBox products.

What you'll be doing
You will work on setting up (Hardware In the Loop) testing equipment, write and debug test scripts, and work on our in-house testing framework. You will work with (and sometimes create) car simulators and much more, while working on the latest car charging technology. You will work from our office in Amsterdam and report to QA Manager."

Your main responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

Participate in development of automated test systems for our new products

Maintain, improve and extend our automated testing platform

Assess test results and communicate findings to other stakeholders

Contribute to best software testing practices in the team

Drive testing community initiatives together with other test engineers

Mentor junior team members

You're confident, collaborative and keen to take ownership and set best practice

Understanding of software release process, particularly Agile methodologies

You'll be leaving your mark in this important field for a sustainable future.

What you'll bring to the team

Technical Skills/ Hard Skills

Proven experience in test automation (patterns, best practices)

Solid experience with Python (i.e. very competent developer)

Experience with automated test frameworks (pytest is a plus)

Experience with version control systems (preferably git)

Experience with CI systems (e.g. GitLab, Buildkite)

Nice to have

Experience in HMI test automation using OpenCV or similar tools

We want you to demonstrate

Good understanding of software release process, particularly Agile methodologies

Understanding of decoupled, cohesive, object-oriented systems development

If you have any of these, even better

Previous collaboration in open-source projects

Experience with communication protocols

Experience with electronics/hardware in the lab
