Who we're looking for:


We're looking for Technical Lab/Workshop Specialist who will be a central person in the lab/workshop environments we use for development and testing of our electrical vehicle charging products. You are making sure our lab facilities, equipment and materials are available and prepared for safe use. Also you help nurture a culture of effective and safe working in this lab/workshop environment. You assist in a wide range of development projects going on in EVBox with a focus on electrical work and testing preparation. You'll be working in a small team of fully lab/workshop focused colleagues, reporting to the Engineering Lab/Safety Manager, and will be collaborating heavily with the main users of our lab areas, which is the AC Technology hardware and embedded software development department. This department consist of around 100 Engineers including Embedded software engineers, Automation Test Engineers, Systems Engineers and more.


Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of electrical/electronic prototyping (soldering, assembly, wiring etc.) for our EV charging stations or EV charging station test equipment
  • Building electrical/mechanical setups and custom test-boxes
  • Practical hands-on assistance in testing activities in our lab and occasionally on location
  • Keeping lab environment operational, checking availability of equipment and materials (including regular ordering, unpacking and internal delivery)
  • Repair of equipment, registration of equipment, carrying out of safety checks
  • Maintaining a safe and orderly working environment in the lab and other electrical workplaces
  • Involvement in the testing preparation
  • Providing hands-on training to (new) colleagues on effective and safe practices with electrical working

Requirements:

  • Degree from vocational technical school (MBO elektrotechniek/elektronica in the Netherlands)
  • Several years of experience in electrical/electronics industry with practical insights and skills
  • Hands-on, flexible and pragmatic mentality
  • Able to assist in putting together robust electrical test setups based on single-line drawings and soldering PCBs
  • Able to work solely as well as in a team
  • Strong feel for safety, with the ability to take action if needed, voicing that
  • Familiar with safety regulations in an electrical lab environment.
  • Have a structured and organized way of working
  • Have experienced in a similar role
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment
