Who we're looking for

The Tax Manager manages the tax of the EVBox Group. This position reports to the Corporate controller and will work in the Finance team (25 FTE) at the company's headquarters in Amsterdam. The goal of this position is to monitor global tax expense and transactions, ensuring tax compliance.

Responsibilities

Review the quarterly and annual income tax provisions and forecast future income tax provisions to provide accurate information for financial reports, budgets and strategic planning.

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements for tax accounting and related disclosures.

Ensure Company's compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements for tax related processes.

Manage outsourced tax service providers regarding corporate income tax, VAT and other local taxes.

Ensure tax compliance by reviewing local tax returns to assure timely and accurate compliance.

Work with tax consultants on compliance with transfer pricing arrangements, and ensure that these are in continuous alignment with the business model.

Manage transfer pricing policies IC set-up in system, including year-end procedures.

Manage VAT compliance on the Company's sales transactions, and document relevant policies across the various local group subsidiaries.

Explore, obtain and administer tax credits, incentives or other subsidies.

Stay informed of tax changes and determine the impact of such changes to the Company.

Develop global cash tax forecasts and long-range views and participate in tax planning projects,

As needed, manage tax audits and support annual financial audits.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax.

A 5-10 years of experience at an international Tax advisory firm, with broad exposure to international tax matters, with a focus on corporate income tax

In addition, at least five years of experience in a similar position, at an international company.

Extensive, and broad tax knowledge across multiple countries in Europe and US, with particular experience in Dutch tax.

Transfer pricing knowledge and experience.

Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley

Advanced knowledge in Excel reporting.

Can communicate (verbally and in writing) fluently in English.

Analytical, with super attention to detail.

Very organized, and drive to always meet internal and external deadlines.

Work independently and cohesively with others.

Flexible and willing to walk the 'extra mile'.
