We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Group Legal team in Espoo. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will support the business across a broad range of legal matters, with a particular focus on commercial contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and M&A activities.

This role is well suited to a mid-level lawyer (3–5 years’ experience) looking to build in-house expertise within a dynamic industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including sales, supplier, distribution/agency contracts, and NDAs
  • Advise business stakeholders on legal compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support and drive legal initiatives and internal projects
  • Collaborate with external counsel on contract and compliance issues
  • Maintain and develop legal templates, guidelines, and documentation
  • Assist in M&A transactions and related due diligence
  • Deliver legal training to business teams
  • Lead internal legal projects, including automation and AI-related initiatives
  • Contribute to additional areas such as IP, data protection, internal controls, claims & litigation, or sustainability (based on interest and experience)

Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent) from a recognised European university
  • 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in a law firm or in-house environment
  • Solid understanding of commercial contracts
  • Interest in developing expertise across compliance areas (e.g. sanctions)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in English required
