Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the engagement and collaboration with suppliers to develop and implement decarbonization and environmental improvement strategies and measure progress toward targets.
  • Assess supplier environmental footprints (carbon, energy, waste, water) and support the development of performance improvement plans. Experience in wastewater improvement initiatives is considered an advantage.
  • Identify operational gaps and co-develop practical solutions with suppliers.
  • Conduct site visits, workshops, and technical support sessions to build supplier capabilities.
  • Partner with procurement, group sustainability team (ESG), and operational teams to ensure supplier alignment with corporate sustainability policies and standards.
  • Provide feedback and insights to internal teams on supplier performance and challenges.
  • Contribute to internal dashboards and progress reports.
  • Support audits, sustainability reviews, and reporting cycles tied to supplier performance and climate action.
  • Monitor emerging regulations and corporate commitments relevant to supplier environmental performance, assisting suppliers in achieving compliance.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree on Environmental Science, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in environmental management, carbon accounting, or supply chain sustainability preferred.
  • 5+ years relevant experience, preferably within sustainability, supply chain, or supplier management.
  • Proven track record in driving supplier engagement on climate actions, decarbonization, or environmental impact projects.
  • Experience in manufacturing or large-scale procurement business environment preferred.
  • Able to collect and evaluate supplier environmental metrics (e.g. carbon emissions, water use, wastes...etc) and identify performance improvement gaps.
  • Able to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for environmental improvements.
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting (including scope 1, 2, & 3 emissions).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership skills with suppliers.
  • Analytical skills for data management and performance tracking.
  • ~30% local & international travel
