Summary:
As an EVSE Sales Specialist, you will drive the sales of the company’s electric vehicle charging equipment and manufactured accessories. This role requires a balance of proactive outbound prospecting, responsive customer service, and account management. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, meeting sales/quote targets, and guiding customers through the full sales cycle — from initial inquiry to installation and commissioning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to generate new sales opportunities and grow accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term customer loyalty.
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales and quotation targets.
- Receive and respond to incoming customer inquiries, providing best-in-class customer service.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and bids, ensuring timely conversion to orders.
- Assist customers with government funding program applications and incentives.
- Submit proposals in response to RFPs and other requests.
- Perform virtual and in-person presentations to customers and partners as needed.
- Monitor and manage the online chat tool, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
- Stay current with EVSE industry trends, technologies, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or customer service (EVSE or related electrical/energy industries a plus).
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong outbound calling and prospecting skills, with the ability to generate and close new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong prioritization and time management abilities; able to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common drawings, specifications, and inventory reports.
- Personable, organized, efficient, and results-driven with a customer-first mindset.
- Working knowledge of the electric vehicle industry, electrical systems, or related fields preferred.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Outbound activity: Meet minimum level of outbound calls/emails per day to prospects and existing customers.
- Quotation targets: Consistently prepare and deliver accurate quotes, achieving a conversion rate of at least 25–30%.
- Sales quota attainment: Meet or exceed assigned monthly/quarterly revenue goals.
- Account growth: Demonstrated year-over-year growth within assigned accounts.
- Customer engagement: Maintain high levels of responsiveness with follow-ups within 24 hours of customer inquiry.
- Pipeline management: Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities at least 3x the monthly sales target.
