About The Role

As a Grants Officer, you will be part of the Grants Management team and report to the Grants Operations Manager. You will support the Central Eastern Europe programme team with their strategic grantmaking and ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency. The team programmes grants in Czechia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. You will ensure consistency of approach and compliance with the internal processes and serve as the liaison between the programmatic work, the Grantee partners, and other ECF central services teams, like the Legal, Risk & Compliance and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities

You will support the programme with their daily grantmaking activities:

Carry-out due diligence reviews on new and existing grantees.

Generate and monitor grant requests in FLUXX

Monitor budget and follow-up the grant contracting stage.

Support the programmatic teams with their regranting budget planning and ensure reconciliation between planning budgets and the FLUXX system.

Provide support to Grantee partners throughout the grant life cycle.

Support with the administrative and financial review of grant reporting.

Handle grant payments in close relation with the Finance team.

Monitor grant closing activities.

Support teams with usage of core systems and tools.

Other related administrative tasks related to the grant management process.

Experience and competencies

You have 3-4 years of experience in an administrative and financial role.

You have a genuine interest in the ECF's mission and values.

You pride yourself in delivering high quality output within ambitious timeframes.

You like to engage with various stakeholders, and you have a customer-oriented approach.

You possess excellent collaborative skills, understanding the importance and value of teamwork, and you are also comfortable working autonomously.

You have strong communication skills, with an excellent command of English, and you speak either Czech or Ukrainian, enabling you to effectively interact with our diverse network.

You are computer literate with good knowledge of the MS Office and excellent knowledge of Excel.

You are comfortable working with new software.

You have some experience in budget oversight and planning.

Above all, you have a friendly and open personality.
