- Relevant tertiary education in science, economics, finance, public policy, law, and/or engineering.
- Experience in (or demonstrated interest in) Australian climate policy and carbon markets through coursework, internships, research, or applied projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to quickly get across new systems.
- Ability to multi-task, handling multiple project assignments with strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to understand complex numerical information and use it to tell a story in reports.
- Strong motivation and willingness to be flexible across different technical disciplines
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to confidently engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health and safety protocols.
- Prior consulting experience
- Experience with data visualisation tools (eg. PowerBI)
- Familiarity with emissions accounting and modelling
- Familiarity with the Australian carbon market and key institutions/processes (e.g., CFI methods, Clean Energy Regulator, project registration and crediting concepts)
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS
- Familiarity with remote sensing and the analysis and manipulation of spatial data
- Basic proficiency in Python or R
