Based in Philadelphia, PA (with flexibility for additional locations for the ideal candidate), this full‑time leadership role sits at the intersection of strategy, technical excellence, and business growth. You will help shape ERM’s water, nature, and ecological risk services while working alongside some of the most respected technical experts and consultants in the industry.

- Shape the strategic direction of ERM’s water, nature, and ecological risk services at both North America and global levels
- Drive commercial growth by expanding client relationships and identifying new market opportunities
- Deliver and oversee high‑quality, technically rigorous projects that integrate water resource management, biodiversity, and holistic nature strategies
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients facing complex regulatory, environmental, and operational challenges
- Strengthen ERM’s market leadership through thought leadership, delivery excellence, and collaboration across global teams
- Contribute to ERM’s long‑term growth with a pathway toward Partner progression and potential equity ownership
Required
- BS or MS in toxicology, environmental science, biology, engineering, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years (10+ years preferred) of experience in a consulting or business development environment
- Recognized technical expertise and an established professional reputation in the market
- In‑depth understanding of the Chemical, Diversified Energy, and Consumer Products industries, including existing client relationships that can be leveraged into new business
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify risks, challenges, and innovative solutions for clients
- Proven experience building and sustaining long‑term client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing comprehensive technical reports and standards
- Strong presentation skills for client meetings, leadership briefings, and industry events
- Ability to succeed in a fast‑paced consulting environment, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and travel to client sites as needed
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams across complex environmental projects
- Experience advancing or integrating nature-based solutions, climate change considerations, and modeling into water strategies
- Prior leadership in proposal development, Go‑to‑Market programs, or regional service growth initiatives
- Collaborate with North America and global water resources, nature/biodiversity, and product stewardship teams to develop and execute proactive Go‑to‑Market strategies
- Partner with client account directors, account managers, and regional service leaders to deliver market‑ and client‑specific consulting programs
- Guide clients from project planning through delivery to ensure successful outcomes
- Elevate ERM’s profile within key client organizations by delivering clear business value and trusted technical insight
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to win new work, including identifying adjacent service offerings to support key accounts
- Serve as Technical Lead and Project Manager, overseeing projects across marine and freshwater environments
- Lead technical proposal development and actively participate in business development efforts
- Maintain and grow client relationships that support repeat and long‑term engagements
- Mentor junior and mid‑level consultants, supporting skill development within the impact assessment and water/nature service areas
