ERM supports every stage of the asset lifecycle, including identifying and assessing sites and routes, securing permits, and construction support for new renewable and conventional power generation, and new and upgrades to transmission grid infrastructure and related capital projects developments.
ERM has growth opportunities across North America in Capital Project Delivery and is looking for experienced, forward-thinking professionals to join as client-facing Partners with equity in a global, sustainability-focused business. We seek established leaders with strong consulting and business development skills and a solid technical foundation to deliver world-class service to clients. The focus areas for this role will be outlined below.
The Opportunity
This is a Partner-level role for a Principal/Director/VP-level professional seeking equity in a global, business-minded consulting firm. ERM Partners have opportunities for leadership with ambition, vision, and proven expertise, including:

Role Profile
- Foster and expand a network of client relationships with energy sector companies aligned to our growth strategy.
- Develop new client relationships and expand existing ones by delivering strategic consulting, value, and quality service.
- Drive innovation within the sector to stay ahead of client needs and differentiate ERM in the market.
- Lead and mentor teams delivering energy-focused capital projects across North America, especially the Midwest and Northeast.
- Contribute to leadership and management of project execution for ERM clients power projects, including impact assessment, specialized consulting, and permitting/compliance.
- Meet business health & safety standards, financial targets, budgets and schedules, client satisfaction, and internal risk management requirements.
Qualifications
- BA/BS/MS in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in consulting or substantial work in the Power/Renewables sector, including experience with renewable generation, transmission, and distribution projects in the upper Midwest and Northeast of North America preferred.
- In-depth understanding of the power industry and existing relationships to leverage into new business.
- Understanding of the power regulatory environment and current issues.
- Business acumen to understand risks and opportunities for enterprise-wide solutions.
- Track record of building, growing, and managing a high-performance team; leadership and mentoring experience.
- Proven track record in delivering multi-million-dollar sales/programs.
Compensation and Benefits
For the Partner, Power (Director Level), anticipated annual base pay is $160,000 $183,000 (USD) . Pay is based on factors including education, qualifications, experience, location, performance, travel, and business needs. Bonus eligibility may apply in some cases.
