Program Associate- Climate Change Project Origination
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research and technical assessments on SOC enhancement under various sustainable agricultural systems.
- Develop SOC modelling frameworks aligned with leading carbon credit methodologies.
- Contribute to project design, baseline development, and monitoring under different Carbon registry like Gold Standard (GS) and Verra (VCS) etc.
- Analyze field-level data, conduct baseline assessments, and support monitoring and reporting activities.
- Collaborate with agronomists, data analysts, and field teams to ensure scientific accuracy and methodological compliance
- Required Expertise:
- Advanced understanding of soil carbon dynamics, sequestration mechanisms, and SOC monitoring protocols.
- Hands-on experience with SOC models (e.g., RothC, Century, or similar).
- Familiarity with carbon credit standards, methodology requirements, and project validation/verification processes.
- Familiarity with carbon credit standards and methodologies under Verra and Gold Standard.
- Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Soil Science, or a related field.
- Experience with carbon project methodologies and requirements.
