Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research and technical assessments on SOC enhancement under various sustainable agricultural systems.
  • Develop SOC modelling frameworks aligned with leading carbon credit methodologies.
  • Contribute to project design, baseline development, and monitoring under different Carbon registry like Gold Standard (GS) and Verra (VCS) etc.
  • Analyze field-level data, conduct baseline assessments, and support monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with agronomists, data analysts, and field teams to ensure scientific accuracy and methodological compliance
  • Required Expertise:
  • Advanced understanding of soil carbon dynamics, sequestration mechanisms, and SOC monitoring protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with SOC models (e.g., RothC, Century, or similar).
  • Familiarity with carbon credit standards, methodology requirements, and project validation/verification processes.
  • Familiarity with carbon credit standards and methodologies under Verra and Gold Standard.
  • Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
  •  Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD in Soil Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with carbon project methodologies and requirements.
