Responsibilities
- Physically receive and store full totes
- Track incoming quality checks status, segregate inventory by status
- Change empties for full at the fill station
- Ensure new totes are recirculating mixed for 30 minutes minimum before feeding the fill station
- Daily calibration of instrumentation associated with the feed and consumption of electrolyte and associated with the precise fill requirements of each battery
- Maintain, repair, change out, and rebuild electrolyte pumps, valves, fittings, piping, electrical solenoid switches
- Maintain a leak free fill station
- Clean up spills in storage and at the fill station, dispose according to SDS and EHA standards act as the site leader for large spill emergency action coordination
- Ensure empty totes are completely empty consolidate when necessary
- Contact warehouse when empties need shipped
- Physically ship empties
- Track inventory levels, warn Supply Chain when approaching minimum on hand quantities
- Perform spot checks on fill station
- Complete Hazardous Waste Manifests according to RCRA and SARA Title III requirements, ensure all documentation is in compliance with EPA and OSHA standards, assist with shipping hazardous waste
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- Training on Hazardous Material - HAZWOPPER, RCRA/DOT/SARA Title III, and Environmental procedures required annual 80-hour refresher training is required
- Must be able to lift to a maximum of 50 lbs. (occasionally)
- Ability to work long hours (10 or 12-hour shifts) and weekends as scheduled
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment
- Operate within existing safety guidelines
- High school diploma required
- Demonstrated customer service excellence
- Must have reliable transportation
- Familiarity with ERP systems a plus
- Forklift experience highly desired
- Basic mechanical skill needed

- Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
