Strategic Solutions Analyst Intern

The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies. Interns can expect to network with other students and professionals, gain useful skills, receive mentoring, and make their own contributions to the organization. Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.
The Strategic Solutions Analyst will be expected to support a variety of workstreams in the Strategic Growth group. The ideal candidate will be a motivated "self-starter" who will support team members primarily with company and industry research and various analyses. In this position our intern will assist our strategic solutions team by analyzing material information to identify potential reduction or reuse opportunities. This involves collecting and examining data and using the information to create coherent, intelligent reports, then presenting this information to the team and senior management.

Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.
Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $18/hour (Freshman) - $21/hour (Senior), etc.

Essential Functions
- Conduct research on by-product and logistical solutions to identify opportunities for waste reduction and resource optimization.
- Assist with the development of a detailed material management hierarchy that will be used as foundation for decision making and opportunity prioritization.
- Work with team to develop process and tools for collection and validation of new technologies.
- Create reports and data summaries for presentation to leadership.
- Participate in other strategic value creation initiatives within the Envita portfolio.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
- Required High School or Equivalent
- Preferred current junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Business, Sustainability, or related fields
- Capable of mining and analyzing large amounts of data
- Strong market research skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation
- Bring high levels of quality and accuracy to deliverables
- Proactive in determining next steps in a project and recommending a course of action
