The Strategic Manager, Commercial Operations is a key contributor to Envita Solutions' mission to deliver innovative, sustainable, and high-performance solutions for our commercial partners. This role supports the full commercial lifecycle—leading new business implementation, elevating the customer voice, conducting on-site engagement, and ensuring strong renewal outcomes for our diverse portfolio of environmental and logistics programs.This position serves as a strategic connector between Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, and senior leadership, ensuring that newly awarded programs launch successfully, customer needs are understood and acted upon, and long-term growth opportunities are identified and executed.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Sales and senior leaders to develop growth roadmaps for new and existing customer programs.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion, operational optimization, added service lines, and improved customer outcomes.
  • Support development of commercial narratives, program metrics, sustainability impact stories, and renewal proposals.
  • Analyze customer trends, operational data, contract performance, and market insights to support long-term strategic planning.
  • Represent Envita Solutions during customer site visits throughout the RFP, implementation, and renewal phases.
  • Assess facility operations, program readiness, safety considerations, material flow, and process efficiency.
  • Prepare site visit reports with clear action items, operational recommendations, and risk mitigation steps.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer stakeholders at all levels—operations, procurement, sustainability, and leadership.
  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding of newly awarded customer programs across recycling, logistics, sustainability, and managed services solutions.
  • Translate RFP commitments and program scope into clear operational plans and standardized processes.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination using TaskRay, Salesforce, and supporting Envita Solutions platforms.
  • Facilitate internal and external kickoff meetings, oversee implementation milestones, and drive post-launch performance stabilization.
  • Act as a champion of customer insights, gathering feedback from site visits, performance reviews, and day-to-day interactions.
  • Conduct structured customer listening sessions to identify improvement opportunities, growth potential, and operational risks.
  • Aggregate customer insights and partner with Operations, Sustainability, and Commercial teams to enhance program design and service delivery.
  • Lead proactive management of upcoming contract expirations to ensure seamless renewal strategy and preparation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews of program performance, pricing, service enhancements, and customer feedback.
  • Contribute to renewal proposals, pricing recommendations, and contract amendments.
  • Monitor operational and financial KPI performance to ensure Envita meets—or exceeds—contracted commitments.
  • Drive alignment between Sales, Operations, Sustainability, Logistics, Finance, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to elevate onboarding quality, customer communication, and program efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation, dashboards, and reporting for all commercial operations activities.
  • Support development and expansion of Envita Solutions’ standardized implementation frameworks and customer engagement playbooks.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.

Education Qualifications

  • Required High School or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Sustainability, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Preferred Master's Degree MBA, or other related fields

Experience Qualifications

  • Required 5+ years management experience in TWM, supplier partnerships, commercial and or operational functions
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial operations, project management, customer solutions, or strategic account management—preferably within environmental services, recycling, waste management, logistics, or similar industries.

Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience in the manufacturing space is beneficial.
  • Professional acumen at a corporate and/or onsite leadership level needed
  • Experience in one of the following categories preferred: Sustainability, Consultative Solutions, Environmental, or Customer Account Management.
  • Experience balancing and delivering multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to foster lasting relationships with clients and supplier partners.
  • Must be comfortable building relationships in-person and remotely.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with specific hands-on experience with Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to develop a sound knowledge and understanding of various federal, state, and local industry-related regulations.
  • Strong communication, customer engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Proficiency with TaskRay, Salesforce, or comparable project management and CRM platforms.
