Operations Learning Partner Intern

The Operations Learning Partner Intern will support the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of training and learning initiatives across Operations teams. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive self-starter who is interested in learning and development, operations, and employee enablement.
The intern will work closely with the Strategic Manager, Operations Development and the Operations department to help coordinate training, maintain learning content, support communication and engagement efforts, and gather feedback to inform future training needs. In addition to day-to-day support, the intern will lead a significant project to design and build an Operations Reference Guide for new and existing employees.
Essential Functions
The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies. Interns can expect to network with other students and professionals, gain useful skills, receive mentoring, and make their own contributions to the organization. Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.
Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $18/hour (Freshman) - $21/hour (Senior), etc.

Essential Functions
- Assist with planning and scheduling training sessions, including identifying potential dates, aligning stakeholder calendars, coordinating requirements (e.g., PPE, locations, supplier visits), and sending calendar invitations.
- Support logistics such as coordinating training lunches, classroom sessions, off-site visits, and refresher trainings.
- Support course creation and maintenance within Workday Learning in partnership with the Learning & Development team.
- Track and document training enrollment, attendance, and completion.
- Help manage and organize existing training content
- Review existing training materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with current processes and expectations.
- Make basic updates (e.g., links, ownership changes, minor process edits).
- Identify gaps, areas needing clarification, or opportunities for additional learning.
- Suggest improvements and assist with the development of new or refreshed content.
- Support communication with Operations teams regarding training schedules and expectations.
- Assist with assigning activities and following up with participants.
- Help facilitate post-training discussions, feedback collection, and reinforcement of key learnings.
- Actively participate in periodic check-ins and feedback sessions
- Collect, organize, and prioritize feedback from Operations teams related to training needs and effectiveness.
- Share insights and themes to inform future training plans.
- Take the lead on a large project to create a comprehensive Operations Reference Guide for new and existing employees.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather information, document processes, and organize content in a clear, accessible format.
- Deliver a polished, sustainable resource that supports onboarding, refreshers, and self-service learning.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
- Required High School or Equivalent
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree open to current junior or senior majoring in Liberal Arts, Business, Human Resources, Education, Communication, or related field
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Thoughtful written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to synthesize information and organize content in a logical, user-friendly way
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint); experience with learning systems is a plus but not required
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn about operations and training
- Proactive in determining next steps in a project and recommending a course of action, or seeking feedback when direction is needed
- Must be able to make an office commute regardless of in-person/remote scheduling.
