Green Hydrogen - Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

We're seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer (Manufacturing) to join our H2 Center of Excellence in Burlington, MA. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge electrolyzer manufacturing processes-contributing to innovations that will shape a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. What You'll Do- Support mechanical and process engineering activities for electrolyzer stack manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Create detailed process flow diagrams and work instructions to guide stack production.
- Collaborate with the quality team to define inspection criteria for incoming parts and assembled systems.
- Partner with the engineering team to improve electrolyzer stack and component designs.
- Work with material scientists and chemists on process development initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing workflows to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Lead or participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for mechanical or process issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering (preferably in clean energy, hydrogen, or related industries).
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with R2R (Roll-to-Roll) coating processes at full scale (a plus but not required).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CAD software (Creo preferred).
- Experience with process documentation, quality inspection techniques, and lean manufacturing (preferred).
