ESG Reporting Analyst – Internship

Location: Sydney

Commitment: Part-time, three-month internship

About Envirtia:

Envirtia is an Australian climate-tech company building sustainability infrastructure for ASX-listed and private companies to deliver verifiable decarbonisation outcomes. We are backed by experienced professionals and supported by senior strategic advisors, including the current Chair of the JORC Committee.

The Role:

We are offering a three-month internship for a motivated and capable individual to join our operations team. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to client-facing work, internal reporting development, and real sustainability disclosures for ASX-listed companies.

You will be required to attend infrequent in-person meetings with our Sydney based team. Do not apply if you are unable to attend these meetings in-person. Otherwise, the role can be completed on a remote basis.

The internship is unpaid and structured in accordance with the Fair Work Ombudsman’s guidelines for lawful internships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting research across sustainability, climate, and governance topics to support Envirtia’s client and internal projects.
• Gathering and analysing information from industry reports, regulatory updates, and corporate disclosures to inform advisory work.
• Preparing concise research summaries, briefing notes, and reference materials for use by senior team members.
• Benchmarking market trends and practices across listed and private companies to identify emerging themes and opportunities.
• Supporting the development of internal knowledge resources and contributing insights to client presentations and reports.

About you:

• You are currently studying or have recently completed a degree in accounting, finance, law, sustainability, or a related field.
• You have a strong understanding of AASB S2 or similar sustainability reporting frameworks and are eager to apply this knowledge in practice.
• You are a strong writer and researcher with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• You are highly organised, proactive, and professional when engaging with senior stakeholders.
