About Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA)
Airport Carbon Accreditation is the only global standard for carbon management in the airport industry. Its aim is to enable airports to implement best practices in carbon management. This programme has been developed by Airports Council International Europe in line with applicable international standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO). About the role
The Carbon Accreditation Associates play an important role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the ACA administration services. The Associates, who report to the Senior Carbon Accreditation Associates (SCAAs) and the Director of Operations (DO), are responsible for assessing the airport and verifier applications, operating the Helpdesk and for guiding the airports through the accreditation process. The job holders require very good knowledge of climate issues and GHG emissions reporting, focus on detail and customer care, a commitment to continuous learning and monitoring international climate developments and fluency in written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Assess airport and verifier applications and complete relevant forms.
- Operate the Helpdesk (e.g., customer support, ticket response), Customer Relationship Management-CRM and other business applications, and ACA Online Portal (i.e., the online system that manages airport accreditation applications and data).
- Support airports and verifiers by responding to queries, undertaking research, providing information/advise about programme requirements.
- Review/compile data and report to the SCAAs and DO about the status of operations.
- Prepare reports and/or contribute to reports/documents (e.g., annual reports, standard operating procedures, ACA requirement documents).
- Review documents, databases, and other material (e.g., ACA documents, GHG Protocol documents) and prepare analysis.
- Participate in other ACA related projects (e.g. CRM configuration and customization, quality processes, ACA Online Portal development and enhancements, ACA awareness-raising) and non-ACA related consulting services/training when required.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the management team to set quality benchmarks and monitor performance.
- Stay informed about developments in global GHG frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064) and ACA.
- Participate in meetings, make presentations, organize events, etc.
- Undertake other key tasks (e.g., prepare certificates, issue quotes, data entry, data migration and analysis, preparation/delivery of training, preparation of documents/databases, airport partners application assessment and helpdesk support, support with financial records, sustainability reporting).

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in climate, environmental management/policy, environmental science, engineering, physics, sustainability or related discipline.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of GHG frameworks, guidelines and standards (e.g., GHG protocol, ISO 14064).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reporting skills, attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Prior 1-2 years of professional experience in carbon management and reporting will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Spanish or French a plus.
- Knowledge of other ESG and sustainability frameworks a plus.
- Knowledge of quality/auditing issues a plus.
