Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable GHG Senior Consultant to join our team. This role entails calculating greenhouse gas emissions, pinpointing opportunities for emission reduction, and advancing sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or engineering, expertise in carbon accounting methodologies, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Developing GHG Inventories in alignment with ISO 14064-1:2018 and GHG Protocol tailored to organizations across various sizes and sectors.
  • Provide guidance and support in initiatives aimed at reducing emissions and implementing sustainable practices.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality project deliverables and reports.
  • Lead high-level client workshops and presentations, delivering expert advice and solutions.
  • Actively contribute to proposal drafting and business development activities.
  • Ability in researching framework and regulations.



Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in conducting GHG Inventories.
  • Experience in searching relevant EF databases.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Exceptional project management abilities, encompassing task prioritization, simultaneous management of multiple projects, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both as a team player and independently.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant sustainability discipline, including climate change and environmental studies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of LCA software (e.g. OpenLCA, Gabi) and relevant databases.
  • Previous experience in sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., SBTi, GRI, CDP).
  • Experience in leading projects in a consulting setting.
