Thermal Performance Engineer
1.Role Summary: Join a fast-growing global thermal management company building next-generation liquid cooling solutions for AI/HPC & hyperscale data centers . You will lead thermal design, simulation, and hands-on validation—turning advanced concepts into production-ready systems deployed in real data center environments.
2.What You’ll Do:
Design and develop liquid cooling architectures for AI and high-power-density servers.
Lead CFD thermal-fluid simulation/modeling to optimize flow distribution, pressure drop, and heat transfer.
Plan and execute lab + rack-level + field thermal performance testing (reliability, leak detection, long-term validation).
Collaborate with customers/data center operators/suppliers to define requirements and ensure successful integration.
Evaluate coolant chemistry, material compatibility, and corrosion control strategies.
Lead FMEA / risk analysis for thermal systems and key components.
Explore new technologies and sustainability metrics ( PUE/WUE ) to support roadmap and global deployments.
3.What We’re Looking For (Required):
PhD in Thermal/Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field).
Strong expertise in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermal system design .
Proven experience developing liquid cooling systems for electronics/servers/data centers.
Hands-on proficiency with CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent/Icepak/Star-CCM+ or equivalent).
Hands-on lab experience with thermal testing, instrumentation, and validation.
Strong technical communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and customer-facing.
Nice to Have:
Production experience with liquid cooling deployments.
Familiarity with AI/GPU platforms, high-density racks, hyperscale infrastructure.
Knowledge of OCP standards / ASHRAE liquid cooling guidelines / compliance requirements.
Experience with sustainability-driven thermal optimization (PUE/WUE, energy efficiency).
4.Work Style:
Bay Area on-site role (lab-focused).
Location:47730 Westinghouse Dr Fremont, CA 94539
5.Why Envicool?
Build real products that power next-generation data center infrastructure—your work will go from concept → lab validation → real-world deployment.
