We help manufacturers improve efficiency, sustainability and operational performance by turning data into actionable intelligence. Our models have already been validated on real industrial data, showing significant improvement potential, and we are now expanding deployment.

Role Description

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth for EntroMetrix. You will lead technical sales conversations with manufacturers, build strong relationships with operational and commercial decision-makers, identify high-value opportunities, and convert qualified prospects into paid pilots and long-term deployments.

This is a hands-on sales role for someone who can credibly sell into complex industrial environments. You will develop pipeline, run discovery calls, visit customer sites, understand operational pain points, deliver compelling technical demonstrations, build business cases around cost and efficiency savings, and manage opportunities through to close. Working closely with the founding team, you will help establish a repeatable sales motion for scaling EntroMetrix across industrial customers.


What you will do

  • Build and manage a pipeline of manufacturing customers, from initial outreach through to paid pilots and long-term deployments.
  • Run technical discovery calls and customer site visits to understand operational challenges, data availability and commercial priorities.
  • Identify high-value opportunities where EntroMetrix can reduce cost, improve efficiency and deliver measurable operational impact.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer value propositions, commercial proposals and business cases.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to operations leaders, engineers and senior decision-makers.
  • Lead opportunities through the sales cycle, including qualification, scoping, proposal development, negotiation and closing.
  • Work closely with the product and engineering team to ensure customer requirements are understood and deployments are successful.
  • Develop a repeatable technical sales process that can scale across different industrial sectors, sites and use cases.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and support account expansion from initial pilot to wider deployment.
  • Contribute directly to EntroMetrix's commercial strategy as one of the first sales hires.


What we are looking for

  • A degree in engineering, science, computer science, mathematics, operations research, business with a technical focus, or a closely related field from a top university.
  • Strong interest in technical sales, enterprise software and solving real operational problems in industry.
  • Experience selling, scoping or delivering technical products, ideally within manufacturing, industrial software, energy, operations or B2B technology.
  • The ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to both engineers and senior commercial decision-makers.
  • Commercial confidence, with the ability to qualify opportunities, build business cases and move customers towards a close.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to engage customers on-site and in technical meetings.
  • Comfort working in an early-stage environment where you will take ownership of pipeline, sales processes and customer outcomes.
  • In-person working from our London office, typically 4–5 days per week, with travel to customer sites in the UK.


Nice to have

  • Experience selling enterprise software, industrial technology, AI, analytics, optimisation or digital transformation solutions.
  • Previous experience working with manufacturers, process industries, operations teams or industrial customers.
  • Experience developing customer proposals, ROI cases, pilot scopes or commercial agreements.
  • A technical understanding of manufacturing processes, energy efficiency, operational data or industrial systems.
  • Experience taking customers from initial engagement through pilot delivery and commercial expansion.
  • An existing network across UK manufacturing or industrial operations.
