The company has an exciting opportunity for a CFO to join our team in Singapore. This is a rare opportunity to join an established and proven renewable energy team in a high profile, high impact role.


ROLE OVERVIEW


The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive team, overseeing the financial strategy and management globally. The CFO will play a critical role in advancing our business goals by managing all financial aspects, including capital structure, risk mitigation, and financial performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in finance within renewable energy or related sectors, and the ability to lead financial operations in a dynamic, contract-based environment.


Reporting to the CEO, you will be required to improve the company's reporting, controlling and accounting system, which will cover over 10 countries. You will also be expected to continuously monitor investment performances including the various subsidiaries within the group. You will also be overseeing acquisition activities, ensuring seamless integration during the process.


JOB DESCRIPTION



  1. Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis



  • Lead the development of financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives, especially in a high-growth renewable energy sector.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, providing insights to support executive decisions.

  • Monitor financial performance and provide analytical insights on market trends, project contracts, and revenue-generating opportunities to maximize risk adjusted returns.



  1. Financial Management and Reporting



  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting that meets regulatory standards across Latin American markets.

  • Audit supervision.

  • Optimize cash flow, working capital, and capital structure to support project funding and operations.

  • Present detailed financial reports to stakeholders, including the Board, investors, and lenders, and develop presentations to communicate financial performance.

  • Ensure compliance with lenders’ financial covenants across all markets.

  • Overview Asset Management and drive analytical overview of asset performance.



  1. Treasury Management



  • Oversee cash management activities, including liquidity forecasting and cash flow analysis tailored to C&I.

  • Manage relationships with banks to optimize cash management and operational needs.

  • Monitor and manage debt levels, interest rates, and capital structure, ensuring financial stability and risk mitigation.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies governing treasury functions.



  1. Capital Raising



  • Develop capital-raising strategies and manage relationships with debt investors, banks, and financial institutions to secure project financing.

  • Lead efforts to obtain funding through project and structured finance, ensuring capital efficiency, scalability and low risk across multiple jurisdictions.



  1. Risk Management and Compliance



  • Develop risk mitigation strategies, particularly around currency risk, interest rate risk, contract risk (PPA terms), and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and financial reporting requirements specific to each country of operation.

  • Oversee the development of financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and maintain audit readiness.



  1. Project and Contract Management



  • Collaborate with project development and operations teams to manage the financial aspects of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), ensuring profitable contract structuring (including without limitations, insurance aspects, custom clearance …).

  • Oversee financial modelling, valuation, and scenario analysis for new projects and contracts.

  • Support project development through due diligence, financial review, and management of deal flow, from origination through to operational handover.



  1. Build and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting rapid growth in Latin America.



  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, mentoring team members to ensure high standards in financial operations.

  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements within financial operations, including process automation and cost management initiatives


THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT



  • 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally with a background in renewable energy, infrastructure, or a similar asset-heavy industry.

  • Proven experience in project finance and financial structuring is a plus.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques, particularly for energy projects.

  • Experience with working in ERP system (Dynamics, business central, netsuite, SAP, …) or advanced cloud accounting.

  • Spoken and written fluency in English.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; including the ability to present technical financial information in a clear and concise manner.

  • International exposure (countries and systems) appreciated.

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, and ability to meet regular deadlines.

  • Report writing skills and ability to produce concise and clear documents for internal and external purposes.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Able to demonstrate initiative and judgement in carrying out day-to-day tasks.
