Electrical Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX.

Work Model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days/week in office; not fully remote)

Travel: <25% (project dependent)

About the Role

Entegee Engineering is interviewing for an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team on a fulltime permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering design and consulting for utility and power infrastructure projects.
  • Work directly with clients to develop strong relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver innovative, high-value engineering solutions.
  • Participate in business development and growth strategy, including new opportunity exploration and emerging technology applications.
  • Develop technical scopes, proposals, and man-hour estimates for engineering services.
  • Oversee project execution planning and ensure technical excellence throughout project delivery.
  • Mentor and support junior technical staff, contributing to the development of team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Travel to project sites or client offices as required (typically less than 25%).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline); advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional electrical engineering experience , primarily in utility and power projects.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state, with ability to obtain additional state licensures as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in client engagement, relationship development, and project win strategies.
  • Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, and engineering service estimates.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Must be able to work hybrid (2+ days/week in office)

  • Power distribution systems and microgrid design
  • Power generation projects
  • High-voltage or medium-voltage substations
  • Renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, etc.)
  • Energy storage systems (BESS and related technologies)
  • Power system modeling using SKM Power Tools , ETAP , or similar
  • Protection & Control, SCADA, and power system automation
  • Campus utility master planning or decarbonization/climate action planning
  • Cogeneration or combined heat & power (CHP) systems
  • Thermal utility plants and distribution (steam, hot water, chilled water)
