Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical design and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in electrical system design and diagnostics.
  • Experience with 3D design tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage DC systems (12V and 24V).
  • Experience designing wire harnesses and electrical systems; background in heavy industrial equipment or automotive applications is a plus.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and test lights.
  • Experience with ladder logic and function block programming.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams for vehicle electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues on vehicles.
  • Design and modify custom electrical solutions to meet client requirements, ranging from simple to complex changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop new product designs and improvements.
  • Conduct on-vehicle testing, prototyping, and provide production support.
  • Design wire harnesses and create detailed technical documentation.
  • Utilize CAD and 3D design software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD, to create part files, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Convert legacy drawings to current industry standards.
  • Apply controls knowledge using Codesys software and IFM hardware/software.
