Part-Time Site Surveyor - Commercial Energy Projects

We are a growing energy-efficiency company working with commercial and multifamily properties on utility-funded upgrade projects. We are seeking a part-time, as-needed Site Surveyor to perform on-site building surveys in support of our sales and operations teams.

This role is ideal for experienced field professionals looking for flexible, per-diem work.

Survey assignments are scheduled based on project demand and location.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site surveys of commercial and multifamily buildings
• Document existing conditions including lighting, HVAC equipment, mechanical rooms, and electrical panels
• Take measurements, photos, and detailed notes using standardized survey checklists
• Coordinate site access with property managers and on-site personnel
• Submit clear and complete survey documentation following each visit
• Occasionally support sales staff during property walkthroughs (no selling required)

Requirements

• Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and occupied buildings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined survey procedures
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for photos, notes, and reporting
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel statewide
• Professional communication and customer-facing skills
• Prior experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, facilities, inspections, or building systems strongly preferred

Schedule

• Part-time / as-needed (per diem)
• Flexible scheduling based on project volume
• Assignments coordinated in advance whenever possible

Compensation

• $35–$45 per hour, based on experience
• 2-hour minimum per assignment
• Mileage reimbursement
• Paid as a 1099 independent contractor
