MPE Lethbridge is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join the Water Resources team.

MPE Lethbridge is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join the Water Resources team.

Your Main Responsibilities
- Manage engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all work aligns with defined scope, timeline, and budgetary requirements.
- Lead contract administration activities, including the preparation, review, and management of specifications and contract documents.
- Oversee construction management tasks, coordinating site activities and ensuring work complies with design standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
- Perform design engineering functions, contributing to the development, analysis, and refinement of technical engineering solutions.
- Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support integrated project delivery and ensure smooth collaboration across functional groups.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and technologists to support their technical development and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Prepare comprehensive planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and related documentation in accordance with project and regulatory standards.
- Conduct construction administration and general supervision duties, including site reviews, progress monitoring, and verification of adherence to engineering requirements.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand project objectives, communicate progress, and ensure successful delivery of outcomes that meet their expectations.
- Apply and promote health and safety rules and comply with Englobe's quality procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering or an applicable technical degree
- Registration with APEGA as an Engineer (P.Eng.)
- 8 years relevant experience in a similar role in a consulting engineering firm;
- Must be experience in project management, design, hydraulics, and construction contract administration in the following areas of practice is desired: Hydropower development, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering.
- Experience completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology as well as use of hydraulic modeling software is desirable.
- Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
