Job Summary

The role will support the evaluation, development, and management of renewable energy projects across solar, wind, and BESS technologies. This role requires strong financial modelling capability, a solid understanding of the Indian renewable energy market, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Evaluation and Execution

  • Evaluate and manage solar, wind, and BESS projects across their lifecycle, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess project viability and acquisition opportunities
  • Evaluate utility bid opportunities, Commercial & Industrial (C&I) commercialisation strategies, and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) structures across utility-scale and C&I segments, including captive and group captive models, to support project execution and commercial decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Market Analysis

  • Work closely with the Energy Origination/Markets, Business Development, Project Development, and Operations teams on greenfield renewable projects across technologies
  • Monitor Indian renewable energy market trends, regulatory developments, and policy frameworks, and assess their impact on project economics

Fundraising, Reporting, and Stakeholder Management

  • Support fundraising activities by preparing documentation, leading due diligence processes, and managing investor queries
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements, including investor presentations, CIMS documentation, and Investment Committee (IC) materials
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently when required

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Any professional designation, or progression towards one, such as CPA or CFA, would be an asset
  • 7-8 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting
  • A strong track record in renewable energy project evaluation, due diligence, or transaction support is preferred

Technical and Professional Capabilitie

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of Indian power markets, regulatory policies, and PPA structures
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities
