Job Description

As a Climate Change and Sustainability Services Manager, you will play a key role in advising clients on climate change mitigation, sustainability strategies, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, conducting climate risk assessments, and ensuring clients meet sustainability reporting requirements. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and deep knowledge of climate-related regulations and ESG frameworks.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • A strong academic background from a well-recognized institution, having a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in climate change consulting, sustainability services, ESG advisory, or corporate sustainability.
  • Previous experience in a managerial or team leadership role, with responsibility for leading professional teams.
  • Strong understanding of climate-related financial disclosures, carbon accounting methodologies, and sustainability reporting frameworks. Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, IFRS, TSRS, and SASB.
  • Experience in conducting greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments and carbon footprint analysis.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and other climate disclosure requirements, along with local environmental regulations
  • Proven experience in sustainability strategy development, net-zero roadmaps, and ESG data analytics.
  • Strong capability in managing projects and juggling priorities to meet deadlines while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex climate and sustainability concepts into actionable insights for clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to integrate into existing teams and work alongside colleagues of other disciplines.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and sustainability-related risk management.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation and Turkish and international standards/regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing standards, procedures, and processes to manage ESG risks, including GHG emissions and management systems.
  •  Knowledge in GHG emissions calculation, CSRD, IFRS, TSRS, GRI, CDP, LCA Reporting, ISO 14064 & ISO 14046.
  • Very fluent in spoken and written Turkish and English.
  •  Self-motivated, able to work independently but take direction when necessary.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sustainability consultants, ensuring high-quality project delivery and continuous professional growth
  • Lead and deliver sustainability and climate change advisory projects, ensuring high-quality outputs, technical rigor, and client satisfaction. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on sustainability transformation, climate strategy, and ESG integration. 
  •  Drive business development and account growth, leading proposal development, scope definition, commercial negotiations, and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships while expanding industry networks and partnerships.
  • Manage resource planning, project allocation, team performance, and utilization while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Design and implement sustainability and climate strategies tailored to clients’ sector-specific risks and opportunities.
  • Lead GHG inventories, carbon footprint assessments (Scope 1–2–3), and climate risk analyses, including physical and transition risk evaluation.
  •  Advise clients on regulatory compliance and disclosure requirements, including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and other international sustainability frameworks.
  • Lead ESG reporting and disclosure processes, aligned with TCFD, CSRD/ESRS, TSRS, GRI, SASB, and IFRS Sustainability Standards.
  • Develop net-zero roadmaps and decarbonization strategies, supporting clients in setting and achieving Science-Based Targets (SBTs).
  • Provide expert guidance on ESG risk management, sustainability data governance, and climate-related financial disclosures.
  • Engage with investors, regulators, and internal executive teams to enhance corporate sustainability, performance, and positioning.
  • Develop business cases and investment-grade recommendations for sustainability initiatives and low-carbon transformation projects.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability management systems and standards, including ISO 14064 and ISO 14046 frameworks.
