Position: Sustainability Consultant

Qualifications/Requirements

• Fluency in German (spoken and written) is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• A strong academic background from a well-recognized institution, having a "Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering," is a plus.
• Minimum 3-years of experience in climate change consulting, sustainability services, ESG advisory, or corporate sustainability
• The successful candidate will be expected to communicate directly with German clients, support project implementation, participate in client meetings, and contribute to business development activities in the German market.
• Professional proficiency in English is also required.
• Ability to communicate intercompany through cross-border projects
• Strong capability in managing projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes.
• Ability to demonstrate active participation in internal and client meetings and verbally communicate thoughts clearly.
• Professional at using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Experienced and/or interested in the ESG and decarbonization topics
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently but take direction when necessary.
• Must be able to multitask while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.

Major Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of sustainability and climate change consulting projects for clients in Germany.
• Serve as a key point of contact for German clients, ensuring effective communication throughout project implementation.
• Coordinate with the German and Turkish project teams to ensure the successful execution of client engagements.
• Support business development activities in the German market, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and participation in client meetings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in Germany.
• Contribute to the growth of Enexion's consulting services in the German-speaking market. Working across a variety of sustainability and ESG topics, including carbon reduction
• Conducting environmental materiality and impact assessments, mostly focused on energy and carbon emissions (Scopes 1, 2, and 3)
• Analysis of client data and information to develop a thorough understanding of clients’ needs to prepare clear documents and presentations.
• Assisting in developing sustainability reports such as GRI, TSRS and CDP
• Supporting clients on ESG performance and KPIs
• Carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) & building different LCA frameworks where appropriate
• Analysis and evaluation of relevant regulatory and legislative frameworks in the context of ESG
• Providing support to the day-to-day aspects of sustainability projects, across various projects
