Role Overview
The Sr. Director / Head of Project Management is responsible for bringing focus, alignment, and operational clarity to Energywell's cross-functional work and technical implementations. This role establishes and leads the enterprise-wide project management function, overseeing prioritization, requirements gathering, planning, communication, and operational governance across Marketing, Product, Tech, and Operations. You will create the processes that ensure the right work gets done, in the right order, with clear accountability.
What You'll Do
- Build and lead Energywell's Project Management Office (PMO) from the ground up.
- Establish standardized project intake, prioritization, and sequencing frameworks.
- Facilitate annual and quarterly planning sessions and cross-functional trade-off discussions.
- Act as a thought leader and product-focused leader in the organization to guide initiatives that prioritize customer experience, company efficiency and a strong product-guided roadmap
- Gather, refine, and document business requirements for new initiatives and translate them into actionable cross-functional project plans.
- Draft clear user stories and development specs for technical implementations.
- Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and communication across functions.
- Ensure alignment between marketing & communications, product experience, technology, operations, legal, customer care and company leadership.
- Maintain clear visibility into progress through reporting, dashboards, and regular project and team updates.
- Maintain clear documentation of project and product requirements
- Improve cross-team communication and reduce rework through structured processes.
- Partner with training and communication teams to ensure all projects are clearly communicated and trained to internal and external audiences
- Support leadership with operational clarity, enabling faster and more predictable execution.
What You Bring
- 8+ years in project management, operations, or product operations in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience creating or scaling PMO or operational frameworks.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong technical skills and proven experience collaborating with and enabling technical teams
- Ability to think strategically while managing detailed execution.
- Experience translating ambiguous business needs into clear requirements and structured workplans.
- Familiarity with energy, SaaS, or regulated industries is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with AI as an enabler for technology and project implementation is helpful
