Position Overview We’re seeking a Solar Site Construction Manager to oversee field operations for commercial and utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects. This role is responsible for ensuring project execution aligns with schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives. The Construction Manager will collaborate closely with the VP of Construction and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from mobilization through commissioning. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate on-site construction activities for commercial and small utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects. Execute project plans to ensure alignment with cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Manage and mentor field teams, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and civil crews, as well as subcontractors, to meet key milestones. Enforce safety protocols and participate in regular site safety meetings. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold installation standards. Track project progress, materials usage, and field documentation in compliance with reporting requirements. Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and project stakeholders. Ensure all installations meet NEC, AHJ, and fire safety codes. Work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to address and resolve field challenges. Qualifications 3-6 years of construction experience, preferably in solar or renewable energy. Proven track record managing commercial or utility-scale solar projects. In-depth understanding of solar PV system installation and commissioning. Experience with battery energy storage system (BESS) integration and fire safety systems. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse field teams. Thorough knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA requirements. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors and at heights in varying environmental conditions. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Certifications: OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 . Skills Experience using project management software (e.g., Asana, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite). Familiarity with permitting, interconnection, and commissioning workflows. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
