About Shared Ground

Shared Ground is a Dutch think tank with an international outlook. In recent years, environmental and climate issues have become entangled in culture wars, overshadowing sound policy and limiting space for thoughtful debate.

We recognize political polarization as part of today's reality. Rather than shying away from the left-right divide, we see it as terrain for meaningful change. Care for the planet should not belong to any one political tradition, nor be reduced to a wedge issue.

Shared Ground provides a platform for constructive debate and reconciliation around environmental protection. Our focus is on research, policy proposals, and creating spaces for collaboration.

We are a member of Our Common Home, a network of organisations building the common good for the environment.
