Business Development Internship in Chennai

Are you a driven professional with a passion for sustainability and a knack for building strategic relationships? Energy Alternatives India (EAI), India's leading climate tech and sustainability consulting firm, is looking for young Business Development Interns to help us scale our impact across India’s clean energy and climate innovation landscape.

As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, developing business plans, and promoting consulting and solution offerings in the sustainability domain.

Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• Identify and pursue new high-impact and high-value business opportunities in clean energy, climate tech, and related sectors
• Work with leadership to explore new revenue streams and partnerships with new and existing clients
• Prepare compelling business proposals, capability decks, and tailored pitches for corporate clients and startups
• Develop and manage a pipeline of clients through outreach, relationship building, and strategic follow-ups
• Monitor market and competitor activities, and share insights to shape strategic decisions
• Leverage EAI’s flagship platforms—especially the CLIMAFIX Summit,—to unlock relevant business opportunities and forge strategic collaborations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create solution offerings and go-to-market strategies
• Represent EAI at industry events, webinars, and conferences to expand our network and visibility
