BESS Senior Project Manager

Enemix are partnering with a leading global battery energy storage organisations that is growing its Australian delivery team. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of utility-scale BESS projects from contract handover through construction to performance testing and handover to the client.
The role
You'll manage multiple projects through design coordination, manufacturing, logistics, construction support, commissioning and handover. The focus is on strong execution: schedule control, cost tracking, risk management, contract and commercial coordination. This role will work closely with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, network service providers and subcontractors, as well as internal engineering, supply chain, commissioning, commercial and legal teams.
What you'll be doing
- Managing utility-scale BESS projects from contract handover through to performance testing and handover
- Maintaining execution plans, schedules, risk registers, responsibility matrices and project reports
- Running internal and external project meetings, chasing actions and escalating risks to the Senior Project Manager where needed
- Supporting contract and commercial management, including milestones, payments, variations, formal notices and delay events
- Tracking progress, cost, critical path and dependencies, and driving recovery actions when required
- Coordinating technical interfaces across batteries, PCS/inverters, MV systems, PPC, EMS, SCADA and communications
- Overseeing manufacturing progress, FAT, logistics, site readiness, commissioning planning and handover documentation
- Supporting grid connection and compliance, including GPS, R1/R2 studies, AEMO/NSP hold points and testing
- Keeping customers and stakeholders well informed while protecting schedule, quality, contractual obligations and the commercial position of the business
- Travelling to project sites and supplier facilities as required
What will make you stand out
- Experience on utility-scale BESS assets in Australia
- Exposure to construction, energisation, commissioning, grid compliance and handover
- Knowledge of AEMO and NSP/TNSP requirements, generator registration or R1/R2 hold-point testing
- Confidence with tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, SharePoint, Procore, Bluebeam or document-control systems
- Experience working with Battery Energy Storage OEMs previously is highly regarded
